  • Pillsbury utilizes a number of crowd pulling Applications on Facebook to drive incremental growth in its fan base; a user base of over 1,200,000 people has been generated to date, using a Bake Off Contest to create interaction among fans.

  • Earlier this year, Pillsbury Approached Avenue Social to create a web presence for them; the brand wished to have a platform to interact with their customers - a place to share recipes and spread news about new product developments and innovations. Additionally, Pillsbury required an avenue to create some noise about their ongoing 'Pillsbury Bake Off' activity.

  • Avenue Social custom designed multiple interactive and user engaging Applications for the purpose of creating noise about the Pillsbury brand. The Fan Page was not only comprehensive and brand centric in nature, but also very dynamic and up to date. It included features which enabled fans to share recipes, upload pictures, track the Bake Off contest, send virtual gifts, participate in discussion forums and polls as well as engage in other exciting interactive activities.

  • With the support of this Fan Page, thousands of recipes can be shared daily on an online portal. The resultant effect on Pillsbury is stronger brand loyalty and greater brand retention. Almost 1,252,213 fans account for the current fan base and have translated into substantially higher sales for the brand.
