- Guerlain utilized a Facebook App to help promote its philosophy of beauty being a way of life. The social media presence helped in not only augmenting the current customer base but also in marketing the new brand successfully.
- Objective
- Guerlain is one of the oldest French perfume houses in the world with a large fan following of extremely brand loyal customers. The company required a Facebook Application that could help in augmenting their presence on social networks and keep their fans engaged.
- Strategy & Execution
- Avenue Social Inc. created a Guerlain Facebook app to allow fans to interact with one another and talk about their experiences with the brand. Users can discuss everything from their favorite makeup shades and looks to the hottest cosmetic brands on the market, and also recommend them to one another. In addition, they can also invite their friends to the Fan Page and send them virtual kisses in different shades of Rogue Automatique, the latest line of lipstick to be launched by Guerlain.
- Results
- Home to around 130,000 monthly active users, the Guerlain Facebook App proved to be a humongous success amongst its fans. The steady customer base not only regularly engages with the various App features, but is also instrumental in attracting large numbers of people to the Fan Page.
