Can a social networking site benefit from creating social media applications? Yes!

elifelist is a community based, goal-oriented site which allows members to create a list of goals they wish to achieve in their lifetime and track them. This social networking website aims to motivate people and helps them achieve their life goals. By sharing their goals with friends and family, users build confidence and enjoy interacting with other goal seekers. The elifelist site allows users to share photos, upload audio and video, message each other, and track and share their goals. Users can create their own blogs to share their life list accomplishments and challenges. Users can make a list of their own goals or, if they're uninspired, borrow goals from others. elifelist contacted us to further expand their reach through the use of social media applications.

elifelist's complex network capabilities created a challenge for our designers. To create a comparable and compatible Facebook application our design team worked closely with elifelist's webmaster and database administrators. Believing that less is more they designed a relatively simple and intuitive application that made it fun for users to share their goals. elifelist's Facebook application played off of the basic driving forces behind social media: the desire to know what your friends are doing and whenever possible, match or exceed their accomplishments. By sharing goals and achievements users engaged their friends and created viral growth for elifelist.
