The US Department of Education reported over 12.2 million enrollments in college-level credit-grating distance learning courses in 2006 - 2007. Of these 12.2 million enrollments, 77 reported online courses, 12 percent reported hybrid/blended on-line courses, and 10 percent reported in other types of distance education.
