There has been an endless rivalry competition going on for quiet some time in past months between facebook and twitter. Many users have been continuously looking forward for twitter and facebook integration and often wonder and question the possibilities of such combination of two leading social giants. It would certainly be worthwhile anticipating such an interesting combination.
However, as unbelievable it may sound but there has been a new buzz being created about facebook working on twitter integration that would let the users distribute and publish their news and updates directly from facebook automatically. Such an integration of facebook with facebook could possibly mean facebook being one of the largest applications on twitter. This would mean facebook being the largest foundation of tweets on twitter, if a few million facebook users were to update their status to twitter. This is without a doubt, an interesting move made by the engineers of facebook to allow open and public updates available to other services.
Blake Ross, an engineer of facebook posted a test tweet from a twitter application. The twitter application is called “Penguin FB” that exists on facebook development servers. The anticipation of such integration is highly being considered to prove very successful and beneficial for both the users of twitter and facebook. However, the test tweet has been deleted.
Updates via twitter facebook application would instantly take place, rather twitterrific or the like. The only way to disable this feature, once it has been enabled would be by going to your facebook settings page and altering your settings for twitter. Nevertheless, this is certainly a work-in-progress, if the updates fit within the sensible realm of “status-updating” nature.
