Growing Trend of Interactive Streaming

Posted on March 14, 2009

After CNN, TNT and Israeli news station NANA10; Facebook?s live feed widget will now showcase Oscars on multiple sites including E! Online and a couple of other Bollywood sites like Zoom. Facebook?s live feed widget will increase the number of Oscar cults. Along with the implementation of live feed widget on multiple websites, Facebook will also put up a live feed fan page. Millions of Oscar fans around the globe have now an opportunity to watch the big show live.

Facebook has attempted for live feed prior to this venture as well but this time the difference is that it?s putting up live widget on multiple sites. Lately Facebook?s live feed widget on CNN.com showed good response on Obama?s inauguration. About 600,000 plus updates were recorded through this integration. Engaging curve went as high as 4,000 people commenting on Facebook CNN feed per minute while 8,500 status updates were recorded in only a first minute of Obama?s speech.

These numbers explicitly demonstrate the wide exposure that live feed widget captures. For one or the other reason many people are turning from television to live internet streaming. Facebook?s live feed widget also hears a good response from the Facebook users saying that live streaming has made it all the more easier. With this bulging exercise of video streaming, internet TV sure has its place in the social media.
