Facebook Chat exceeds 1 Billion Messages Sent per day

According to the recent data reports, Facebook has exceeded 1 billion chat messages, per day, on 17th June, Wednesday 2009.  Facebook chat was introduced in 2008 but in a very short while, this little gizmo has certainly proved to be a great resource for its users for instant messaging. It is no surprise that facebook has witnessed its chat application grow thrice in size in the last 4 months alone. This not only shows the inclination of communication that continues to nurture on facebook among its online users but it also establishes an observation of Facebook’s growth in a short time span. This is a positive advantage to advertisers since they derive ceiling publicity from maximized user engagement. 

Primarily msn messenger was considered to be one of the most used instant messaging services but facebook has been endlessly determined to make its chat appliance as alluring and user convenient as possible.
