Back in late February, Facebook announced sweeping changes to its “Like” button, a move that had some pundits suggesting the social media giant was guilty of a “bait and switch.”

A new report by Burson-Marsteller says that Fortune 100 companies are using social media marketing in an ever increasing way.

Last year, Groupon turned its nose up at Google’s $6B offer to buy the up and coming purveyor of targeted virtual coupons. So, since six billion wasn’t enough, how about 15 billion?
Today, some estimates are putting Groupon’s market value in the $10B - $15B range, which sort of makes the decision to snub Google a bit more understandable.
